KOS is an ancient Greek port town where Hippocrates had built one of the first organized hospitals in the world. KOS in Hindi/Sanskrit is the unit of distance at which one human can hear another.
The goal of KOS is to build the largest healthcare company in the world that provides high quality, cost effective healthcare with a focus on technology and customer experience.

Kos Health Insurance will put a human face on private health insurance. We'll make our customers love health insurance — as opposed to seeing it as a necessary evil — and put Kos at the center of people’s health and wellness needs, acting as their “healthcare guide.”
Kos Health Insurance will provide both in-patient and out-patient coverage.
Kos Health Insurance will generate healthy underwriting profits by extensive use of technology for communication with primary care physicians and specialists, claims processing, pre-emptive healthcare, integration between labs, clinics and hospitals, and more.
Incentive based insurance
KOS Health Insurance will provide incentives to members to improve their health. All members will be given fitness wrist bands and when they meet their exercise goals they gill get cash back. Members will also get cash back for taking a flu shot, getting an annual physical examination done, getting their blood sugar levels testes regularly, getting a mammogram etc.
These incentives, coupled with a social network-like bonding between members will make KOS members love improving their health, rather than thinking of it as a chore.
2. KOS Technologies

Minchu is a chat platform that empowers users to chat with their doctors, nurses, specialists, lab technicians on their favorite chat platform without having to download any medical apps. At the same time Minchu makes it easy for doctors to manage their practice and generates a significant new income stream for them.

3. KOS Primary Care
KOS Primary Care will scale a large number of primary care clinics through a revenue share based partnership model with existing primary care clinics. Initially KOS clinics will be centered around large apartment and office buildings with high density of middle class population.
These clinics will be physical centers for members to consult doctors, give samples for lab testing and avail nursing services.
Free Primary care for the poor
KOS will provide completely free primary care, pediatric care and women’s health care for poor members through it’s technology platform.
4. KOS Hospitals
KOS Hospitals will also be a revenue share based partnership model among existing high quality hospitals. Initially we will focus on women’s health and childcare hospitals. Patients of gynecologists and pediatricians need to have extensive communication with their doctors and the communication needs to happen fairly regularly. Further in maternity and childcare there is as much need for advice on culture, lifestyle, nutrition, parenting etc. as there is on medical conditions.
All of these make it the perfect niche for KOS to disrupt the space with technologies such as Minchu.
Current Status
We are currently actively involved in helping our portfolio company Minchu scale its chat platform among doctors and patients in New York, San Francisco, Berlin, Singapore and Bangalore.
We are also doing the groundwork on KOS Health Insurance and having investment discussions with primary care clinic chains and women/children care hospital chains.
